About this course

Course Information

An Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS) has two purposes: To reduce the pilot’s workload of flying the aircraft especially during long flights and, To enhance the control of flight by minimizing the response time to an aircraft’s attitude change. The Automatic flight control system is a collective term which covers a number of systems such as the autopilot, the flight director, and the auto-throttle, integrated to work together. However, the core of every flight control system is the autopilot. Courses are constantly monitored and updated when major changes in authority documentation is released.
