Course Information
This course is an excellent description of the basic definitions and importance of aviation mass, center of gravity limits and calculations and include the following information; the importance of mass limitations and its effect on structural limitations and aircraft performance. How important the center of gravity (CG) is to stability, controllability and performance. The terminology of mass load terns to include terms such as basic empty mass, dry operating mass, zero fuel mass, fuel terms such as units of measure, density and specific gravity. Mass limitations and terminology such as structural and performance limitations such as Maximum Zero Fuel Mass, Maximum Ramp/Taxi Mass, Maximum Takeoff Mass, and Maximum Landing Mass. How to perform mass calculations for takeoff and landing and CG calculations and the types and positioning of cargo, fuel, and passengers within the aircraft.
