021-05 FLIGHT CONTROLS

021-05 FLIGHT CONTROLS

About this course

Course Information

An aircraft can be rotated around three axes: lateral axis which runs parallel to the span of the wing, longitudinal axis which extends through the fuselage and vertical axis which is perpendicular both to lateral and longitudinal axis. All axes are assumed to pass through the aircraft’s centre of gravity. Motion of aircraft around lateral axis is called pitch which is the nose up/nose down motion. The movement around the longitudinal axis is known as roll which represents wing up/wing down motion. Motion of aircraft around the vertical axis is called yaw which is nose left/nose right motion. Courses are constantly monitored and updated when major changes in authority documentation is released.
