Course Information

This Boeing 747 Landing Gear system course discusses the components and operations of the landing gear system with excellent graphics of the system. The program meets or exceeds the requirements for the initial introduction to the aircraft systems and additionally as an excellent review of B-747 landing gear component operations. This course covers the following components and operations of the landing gear system: A description of the main and nose gear components to include the doors. The normal and alternate landing gear extension and retraction procedures and components. A review of the aircraft steering system components and operation. The brake system is reviewed to include normal, alternate braking, the antiskid system, the brake accumulator, the brake torque limiter, autobrake system, parking brake system, the tire and brake temperature systems. A discussion of the air/ground sensing system and a review of the landing gear controls and indications. Excellent review of the components of the landing gear systems with outstanding animation of their operation.
