This module describes the normal crew procedures to initialize the FMGES in the preflight phase. Here is the outline: AIRCRAFT STATUS page, Radio Navaids deselection, Flight plan initialization, Manual construction of flight plan, Flight plan check, Secondary flight plan, Radio navigation check, Gross weight/Zero Fuel Weight, Takeoff data insertion, Climb speed preselection, Cruise speed preselection, Heading/track preselection, Takeoff from intersection, FCU and MCDU page selection for takeoff, Change of runway, Entry of wind data. Courses are constantly monitored and updated when major changes in authority documentation is released.
