This course includes the following: The types of ADS-B: ADS-B OUT and ADS-B IN. The benefits of ADS-B in allowing better ATC tracking of aircraft with less communication and more precise traffic coordination. Safety improvements that are delivered by use of the system in operations. How traffic capacity is increased with better tracking of aircraft especially in a non-radar environment. A review of the cockpit display of traffic information or CDTI which improves on the TCAS system. The increased traffic avoidance capability with ADS-B IN. A review of the requirement for implementation of ADS-B within Europe. This program is an excellent initial training tool and also a good review for recurrent requirements for ADS-B.
