Course Information

This course introduces the components, operation, controls and indications of the Automatic Flight Systems of the B737 aircraft. This outline includes the normal and abnormal operations of the following; a description of the Autopilot Flight Director system (AFDS) to include a review of the Flight Control Computer, the autopilot and flight director functions, the speed/Mach trim, and altitude warning systems; and the autothrottle system to include the thrust and flight mode annunciator.
