This course covers the components and operations of the B747 Automatic Flight Systems. The information in this program covers the following information; a description of the parts and operations of the Autopilot Flight Director System (AFDS) to include the Flight Control Computer (FCC). The functions and operations of the autopilot and the flight director. A discussion of the Mode Control Panel and the Flight Mode Annunciator. The engagement and disengagement process and indications of the Autopilot and the Flight Director. A review of the Autothrottle systems to include the modes of operation and the Thrust Reference Mode Annunciation.
