Course Information

This course is an excellent discussion on operations on contaminated runways. This program meets and exceeds the requirements for the States’ of Registry for pilots and operators. Due to the increased risk of operations on contaminated runways, a regular review of these items in this course is essential to all pilots. This course includes the following: General definitions and limitations of the kinds of contamination, terminology for categories for both the ICAO and FAA used to describe contamination to include dry, wet, and slippery; and braking Action Reporting, contamination and SNOWTAM reporting requirements and meanings. A detailed discussion of the threats of operations on contaminated runways. Courses are constantly monitored and updated when major changes in authority documentation is released.
