Course Information

This course is describes the components, operations and limitation of the Instrument Landing System (ILS) and includes the following; The localizer and glideslope beams both front and back course components; A list of the presentations and indications of localizer and glideslope on the CDI and HSI, the marker beacons, the ILS-DME; The coverage and range of the components to include errors in accuracy, limitations of the ILS and the factors that affect the range and accuracy of the system.
