Course Information
Operators want to operate larger and larger aircraft on runways not initially planned for these larger aircraft for profitability reasons. This leads to an increase in risk factors to their operations. To assure safe operations at aerodromes for all operators, ICAO/EASA/FAA have set requirements for the minimum runway widths. This program covers the following: Regulations (ICAO Annex 14; FAA/EASA Standards 25.101/143/149), Standard usage, Risks of narrow runway operations, Contributing factors, Published limits, Runway design criteria, Regulatory Airworthiness Limitations, Adjustments for VMCG, Recommended Crosswind Guidelines, MEL, Dispatch, and Inflight failures.
