Course Information
With the development of Performance Based Navigation (PBN) into more and more navigational procedures on a world-wide scale, it is important to review the procedures for oceanic airway limitations for airways not included in MNPS (North Atlantic) airspace. This program reviews the following RNP 4 & 10 general information; General definitions and principles for flight in RNP 4 & 10 oceanic airways. A discussion of the lateral navigational limitations for RNP 4 & 10 airways. A breakdown of the operational procedures and requirements for both the pilots and the aircraft to allowed to fly on these airways prior to departure and prior to entering the airspace and a discussion of abnormal and contingency procedures during the flight to include loss of communication, navigation, an engine failure during the approach and loss of pressurization. This program is a concise review of the requirements to accomplish RNP 4 & 10 flights in this airspace.
