SAFA SANA SACA AWARENESS

Course Information

This course covers the “Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft” which is abridged to SAFA. • SAFA was established in 1996 by the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC). •Programs like ”SAFA” are found around the world under different names, for example ”Ramp Check”, the FAA”s IASA etc. However, all ”ramp” assessments are essentially the same and based on the ”Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program” as mandated in ICAO”s Chicago Convention Article 16 relating to the search of aircraft. • Due to the high number of international carriers between, and foreign operators flying to, the EU, this course is focused on EASA regulations and assessment standards. For further information regarding other assessment programs, please consult that state”s NAA documentation.
